This Syrah from Monte da Caçada, hailing from the Alentejo, is a seriously seductive wine – think ripe black cherry and wild berry notes, beautifully rounded out by French and American oak. It’s a wine that clearly enjoys a slow, thoughtful maturation, and I can absolutely picture it alongside a fantastic, slow-cooked beef.
