This Monte da Ria, with its stunning citrus-toned sediment, certainly delivered an adventure. The Encruzado and Arinto grapes blended beautifully, offering aromas of luscious honey and a touch of toasted spice – a subtle nod to its barrel aging. On the palate, it’s a remarkably fresh and full-bodied wine, possessing the strength to beautifully complement a grilled fish with lemon, perhaps a sea bream (dourado), really letting its flavours shine through. A truly ambitious project from Quinta de Bacus, proving once again that the Algarve and the Dão are already a remarkable story.
