This Muralhas de Monção rosé clearly underwent a rather mystical process. Careful selection of the Vinhão grapes, followed by gentle pressing, ensured a precise extraction of flavour. A 24-hour slow decantation at 14°C, coupled with cold stabilisation – almost as if it’d spent time resting on the vineyard floor – imparts a wonderfully rustic character. It’s a beautiful wine, ideally paired with grilled fish or seafood.
