This Muxagat, hailing straight from the Douro Superior, clearly took a little holiday before arriving with us. Crafted from parcels older than some of our ancestors – we're talking vineyards exceeding 30 years – it’s soaked up the region’s bracing climate, developing a remarkable mineral character. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts and a lengthy barrel maturation in French oak have given it a robust structure and a vibrant acidity, promising a long, elegant finish with citrus notes echoing the vineyard’s terroir. The team has a knack for unlocking flavours that truly reflect the landscape, and a rich attack ensures a memorable experience. A brilliant pairing would be with a white fish or shellfish.
