This Muxagat Tinta Rara initially presents with a deep purple hue, hinting at the pleasure to come. The nose bursts with wild berries and cherries, beautifully balanced by a subtle spice note – a classic characteristic of the Trincadeira grape. There’s even a delicate vanilla whisper from barrel maturation. On the palate, the fruit and spice intertwine gracefully, supported by firm but refined tannins, very much in keeping with the Douro’s terroir. It’s a wine that begs for a good steak grilled to perfection, wouldn’t you agree?
