In 2022, extreme drought and excessive heat caused the grapes to ripen early, leading to an early harvest. The White wines were harvested starting on 22 August, finishing with the Reds on 29 September. In September, rain forced an acceleration of the harvest to preserve the final product’s quality. The NAT COOL 2022 comes from several plots of old vines. It was vinified in stainless steel and fermented for five weeks. Malolactic fermentation took place in stainless steel, where the wine aged until bottling. It was bottled without filtration. With a light, vibrant colour, this wine reflects the playful personality of the Baga grape. On the nose it is fresh, floral, with aromatic herb and cherry notes. On the palate it is round yet light and crisp, finishing with a lovely acidity, a hint of spice, mild sweetness and astringency that makes it approachable and easy to enjoy. Serve chilled – naturally refreshing!
