This Alentejo red, hailing from a vineyard seemingly pulled from a history book, is a genuine journey through time. Planted in 1970 with Trincadeira, Alfrocheiro, Castelão, Tinta Carvalha and Moreto, the wine maintains a wonderfully untamed character thanks to its lengthy, spontaneous fermentation and extended aging in French oak. Its vibrant acidity and mineral notes – a consequence of the granite and lithic soils – are particularly suited to complementing hearty dishes like *tacho* and rich meats, a fitting tribute to a bygone Alentejo, and a remarkable return for the Paulistas!
