A single old vineyard covering less than one hectare, it is one of the rare examples of the complexity found in white‑grape old‑vineyards in the Douro. The estate, Quinta do Vale D. Maria, is located in the heart of the Douro region, in Cima Corgo, near the mouth of the Rio Torto, and has existed since 1868. After having been owned by the Symington family, the property was revitalized under the management of the Van Zeller family in 1996, restoring its potential and preserving its 10 hectares of old vines. Since then, thanks to great dedication and passion, Quinta Vale D. Maria has produced unique wines whose quality is recognized both nationally and internationally. (image merely illustrative)
