This Quinta do Porto Nogueira Encruzado is a delightfully surprising wine. Grown in a dry vineyard just 20km from the Atlantic coast, it delivers a remarkable saline character. Made from a tiny, less than one hectare, selection of grapes, it’s intensely concentrated with a certain coastal allure. The slow, batonnage-supported fermentation adds notes of honey and toast, while the rich texture – noted by critics – makes for a truly luscious mouthfeel. It’s a remarkably fresh white, perfectly suited to accompany seafood, especially shellfish.
