Paulo Laureano is one of Portugal’s most renowned winemakers and a benchmark for Alentejo wines. An agronomist and winemaker educated in Portugal, Australia and Spain, after teaching at the University of Évora for ten years, he decided to devote himself exclusively to what has driven him since 2003: crafting wines—especially within the company he founded with his family in 1999, which has increasingly become a significant part of his life. Paulo Laureano describes himself as a minimalist winemaker. For him, crafting wines is a passion: uncovering their aromas and flavours, evaluating and refining the elements that shape their identity and personality, and presenting them as genuine sources of pleasure.
