Pétalos is one of Álvaro Palacios’ most famous wines, a winemaker hailed as one of Spain’s best. Together with his nephew Ricardo Pérez Palacios, he crafted this lively red, bursting with intoxicating aromas that capture every nuance of Bierzo. Sourced from old vines on steep, slate‑rocky slopes, it showcases the best of Mencía and other varietals in the blend. The 2023 vintage is even more floral, yet still retains its classic fruit character—extremely pleasant. It was named by Robert Parker in 2015 as the wine with the best value for money in the world.
