This “Grande Escolha” from the Dão region certainly seems to believe it’s a bit of a star. It spent a rather lengthy 18 months “maturing” – frankly, given the price tag, one would have expected a longer period of refinement. The nose bursts with earthy notes, alongside the unmistakable scent of orange blossom, and dark fruit, all underpinned by a respectable 16.5 points awarded by *Revista de Vinhos*. On the palate, it's a concentrated, full-bodied wine, practically begging for a rich steak and a good red wine reduction sauce, don’t you think?
