Grapes sourced from the Alijó plateau, where the soil is granite, were hand‑picked and aged for about 12 months in 500‑litre French oak barrels. It is a balanced wine with good structure and acidity, a persistent and elegant finish. Both Celso Pereira and Jorge Alves could have been nicknamed “Quanta Terra,” if not themselves the embodiment of the wine brand. More than just a passionate obsession of each of the wine world’s leaders, Quanta Terra began its first steps in the 1990s, when the two met while collaborating in the Enology Department at Caves Transmontanas. They quickly developed a professional rapport that would allow them to lay a solid foundation for Quanta Terra, which at the time was just an idea.
