This Quevedo Ruby is immediately impressive – a colour hinting at the delights to come. Initial bursts of cherry and blackberry, underpinned by a rich, almost dense, character, suggest a substantial wine. The tannins are present but well-integrated, allowing for a remarkably smooth finish, with lingering notes of plum and blackcurrant compote. Absolutely brilliant with a hearty beef roast – think prime rib, to really amplify the intensity of this Porto.
