This Síria, hailing from the Levandeira sub-region, certainly looks like it’s had a good rest. The hand-harvested grapes, carefully transported in 20kg boxes, indicate a truly meticulous approach, and the whole-cluster pressing ensures the full expression of the fruit. The maturation in a mix of French and Hungarian oak barrels adds a remarkable layer of complexity, with delightful pastry notes dancing alongside the citrus flavours and a subtle tea-leaf influence. A full-bodied, refreshing wine – ideal with grilled fish or a roast chicken infused with herbs.
