This wine from Quinta da Esperança is clearly enjoying a luxurious infancy – four months on the lees! The result is remarkable, boasting a rich golden hue and surprising notes of pineapple and peach, venturing beyond simple citrus. Following a 48-hour hydromel aging and barrel maturation in French oak, it’s incredibly creamy, and the finish is wonderfully refreshing, perfect alongside grilled fish with lemon. A wine that hints at considerable ageing potential – a prospect we always welcome, of course.
