The Quinta da Gingeira Reserva red wine is produced from Touriga Nacional, Tinta Amarela, and Tinta Roriz grapes, and after alcoholic fermentation it is transferred to French oak barrels where it ages for about nine months. It offers a concentrated aroma, with fresh fruit notes and subtle spicy undertones. On the palate it is full‑bodied, with mature tannins and a persistent, elegant finish. The Quinta da Gingeira wines come from the estate that lends it its name, located on the left bank of the Douro River between Régua and Pinhão. With a privileged location in the Demarcated Region of the Douro, the property has been owned by the Paiva family for over a century, although its own label has only been on the market for 16 years.
