Violet floral notes intertwine with the promise of wild berry flavours, subtly balanced by that signature Dão balsamic character – a hallmark of this special area. Maturation in 60% French oak has imparted delicate vanilla nuances, elegantly tempering the fruit and adding a lovely textural component. With fine tannins and a vibrant natural acidity, it’s superbly balanced and a fantastic match for red meats, game, or creamy cheeses. As Robert Parker noted with a respectable 89/100, it's a wine deserving of attention. It would be particularly lovely with a carpaccio of beef drizzled with rosemary and honey – a truly versatile and memorable wine, best enjoyed after allowing it to breathe for an hour before serving.”
