Spring was slightly warmer than normal, with late flowering in late May. The harvest occurred between September and October, under higher-than-usual temperatures and lower rainfall. Compliance with these practices is certified by an independent organisation recognised by the Portuguese State. **Vinification:** The grapes were harvested and vinified by variety. 20‑kg barrels were unloaded at the selection table, passed through a destemmer‑crusher, and then transferred to small stainless‑steel vats. Prior to alcoholic fermentation, Alfrocheiro and the field blend remained 4 days in cold pre‑fermentative maceration. Alcoholic fermentation lasted 10 days at an average temperature of 28 °C, with all varieties undergoing post‑fermentative maceration. **Maturation:** Malolactic fermentation took place in new and used barrels. All wines aged for 30 months in French oak barrels of 225 L, 500 L, and 1000 L – both new and used. The final batch is a selection of the best barrels from the three wine types. After bottling, the wine remained 18 months in the bottle before release. **Storage:** Store the bottle horizontally. Ideally consume from the 4th or 5th year after harvest (as indicated on the label). Superior ageing potential over 20 years. **Serve:** Serve directly from the original bottle.
