Description

Vinification: The grapes are selected and hand‑harvested from the finest plots of Quinta da Lêda. In the cellar a second selection is carried out on the picking table to ensure maximum quality. After destemming and gentle crushing, the grapes are transferred to stainless‑steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation takes place. The maceration is long and gentle, extracting the compounds that contribute to the wine’s color, aroma and flavour. The wine ages for about 18 months in new French oak barrels (50 %) and used ones (50 %). The final batch was crafted based on the numerous tastings and analyses carried out during that period. To preserve the highest quality of this wine, Quinta da Lêda subjects it only to filtration before bottling. Because it is not cold‑stabilised, the natural formation of sediment during bottle ageing is expected. Suggestions: It pairs well with meat dishes, game and cheeses. Store horizontally in a cool, dry place, away from light and temperature swings. Serve at 16 °C to 18 °C. Consume in moderation.
