Quinta da Pedra Escrita, belonging to the Roboredo Madeira family for roughly eight generations, was restored in 2007. Characterised by its dry, arid soils, vine cultivation is no easy task, but it is this very challenge that makes its wines aromatic and richly complex, also granting them remarkable longevity. These wines are also a tribute to everyone who shaped and inspired Rui Roboredo Madeira. In one of the most remote parts of the Iberian Peninsula, in the rugged zone between the Upper Douro and Beira Alta, Rui’s passion for the aromas and scents of the land that shape his character was born within his family. After years of experience and living in other corners of the globe, Rui brings back to his roots what he has learned, launching a personal wine‑making project, always with maximum respect for nature.
