The cold maceration, combined with the influence of the French oak, delivers a remarkable expressiveness, balancing confited red fruit with a vibrant acidity. A lovely smoothness on the palate, thanks to malolactic fermentation and restrained tannins – predominantly from Touriga Nacional and Tinta Barroca – suggests a complex and elegant wine. Absolutely fantastic with grilled beef for a truly satisfying pairing.
