The firm tannins, courtesy of the Touriga Nacional, hold the wine with a grace only the world’s oldest demarcated region can bestow. Expect notes of spice and ripe fruit, beautifully supported by Touriga Franca, a reminder of the Douro where the Rabelo boats once carried Port, before losing its character to be bottled under a different brand. Absolutely brilliant with a perfectly grilled beef steak and a hearty crusty bread.
