Casa de Cello is a family company that has been cultivating its estates for four generations. In the 1980s, one of the owners, João Pedro Araújo, began professionalising the company’s operations, reorganising the existing structure to implement the best viticultural and enological technologies and to express the terroirs of Casa de Cello. Quinta da Vegia, located in the Dão region near the town of Penalva de Castelo, currently covers 20 hectares of vineyards, whose planting followed a meticulous selection of varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela, Tinto Cão, Alfrocheiro, Encruzado and Bical, to produce Quinta da Vegia wines.
