This rosé from Quinta d’Amares is a bold statement – a blush of salmon colour and those lovely tropical notes really set the scene. Primarily Padeiro (90%) with a touch of Touriga Nacional, it boasts a remarkable freshness and a surprisingly generous mouthfeel, hinting at a lovely ageing potential (though, let’s be honest, it’s best enjoyed now!). Having scooped Gold at the 2018 International Wine Competition in Brazil, it’s a wine with a promise – and pairs beautifully with seafood rice or grilled fish, or as a sophisticated aperitif.
