This Loureiro from Quinta D’Amares Vinesa clearly enjoyed a chat with some French oak – and the effect is quite remarkable. The battonage during fermentation has layered a beautiful aromatic complexity, resulting in a wonderfully vibrant acidity and hinting at an unexpectedly long lifespan. You’ll pick up notes of dried flowers and smoke, and the slightly fuller body makes it a fantastic match with grilled white fish and a squeeze of lemon.
