This Garrafeira from Quinta das Camélias is a delightfully curious journey through the heart of the Dão. Predominantly Touriga Nacional, it’s subtly spiced with Alfrocheiro, adding a touch of intriguing complexity. Careful maceration at 26°C really brings out the flavours – dark plum, blackberry, and a hint of raisin – alongside warm spices like cinnamon and clove. A medium-bodied wine with supremely smooth tannins, it’s the kind that makes you say “wow!” and lingers beautifully. Perfect with a good cigar and aged cheeses, to fully unravel the secrets of the Dão.
