The Quinta de la Rosa is a pioneer in the Douro region, renowned for its premium wines and top‑grade ports. Its story began in 1815, and although it has undergone changes over the years, it has always remained under the ownership of the founding family. In 1988 the estate re‑entered the market with the production of its first house Port. Today the Quinta de la Rosa is represented by the Quinta de la Rosa and Quinta das Bandeiras wines. Both are celebrated not only for the quality of their ranges but also for the estate’s hospitality and dining facilities, offering a fresh perspective on the Douro. The main estate covers about 62 hectares along the north bank of the river, producing wines that are rich and characterized by notable acidity, minerality, and freshness. Quinta das Bandeiras, the property that produces the Passagem wines, spans 100 hectares (acquired in 2005), of which 38 hectares are planted with vines. (Illustrative image only.)
