The Quinta de la Rosa is a pioneer in the Douro region, famed for its top‑class wines and port, with a history that began in 1815. Despite undergoing several changes, it has never ceased to belong to the founding family, and in 1988 it re‑entered the market with the production of the estate’s first Port wine. Today, the Quinta de la Rosa is represented by the Quinta de la Rosa and Quinta das Bandeiras wines, recognised not only for the quality of their ranges but also for their hotel and restaurant units, offering a fresh perspective on the Douro region. The Quinta de la Rosa covers about 62 hectares, aligned along the northern bank of the river, producing wines that are rich and exhibit notable levels of acidity, minerality and freshness. Meanwhile, Quinta das Bandeiras, with the Passsagem wines, is a 100‑hectare property acquired in 2005, of which 38 hectares are planted with vines. (Illustrative image only)
