The Quinta de São Tiago red is made from Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Trincadeira, and Jaen grapes. The vines grow on granite and limestone clay soils in the Beira Interior region. After six months of aging in French oak barrels, the wine shows a deep ruby colour with purple undertones, and a harmonious aroma that blends blackcurrant and wild fruit notes with dried fruit and spice nuances. On the palate it is full-bodied and smooth, with good structure and volume. The finish is long and highly persistent.
