Bacalhôa Vinhos de Portugal, founded in 1922 as João Pires & Filhos, has charted a long course, establishing itself as one of Portugal’s most innovative wine producers. The company began by producing wines from grapes in the Palmela region. Throughout the 1980s, Bacalhôa Vinhos de Portugal expanded, acquiring properties across the country and creating new paradigms for Quality wine production. The Quintà do Carmo houses the vinification center for all of its Alentejo wines. Equipped with modern technology, this winery can produce 3 million litres.
