This Dão Reserva is a delightfully understated beauty, primarily crafted from Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz – grapes that, in this particularly reticent vintage, have blossomed into a truly expressive wine. Expect generous blackberry notes, subtly reminiscent of the Serra da Estrela, alongside a bright bergamot lift that speaks of the fruit itself. On the palate, the refinement imparted by 12 months in French oak is beautifully balanced by a solid structure and a lingering finish, making it a superb match for a hearty beef stew.
