The grapes, carefully selected in plastic boxes, are transformed into a wine showcasing remarkable freshness and elegance. Blending traditional “lagar” methods with modern technology, including robotic pistons, results in a 10-day fermentation under tight control. The 18 months ageing in French oak, a hallmark of the Douro’s grand estates, delivers a velvety texture and complex aromas of ripe fruit, violet, and a refreshing minty note. With a remarkable 96 points from Robert Parker, it’s a wine with a long, persistent finish – perfect alongside hearty dishes.
