The Quinta do Estanho was part of the first Wine Demarcation, “De Feitoria,” in 1757. It sits on the left bank of the Pinhão River at an average altitude of 300 m, producing quality wines for several generations. In 1987 its owner, Jaime Acácio Queiroz Cardoso, became the second producer‑bottler‑exporter of the entire Douro, selling his wines directly to both national and international markets.
