Situated within the town of Estremoz, the estate stands out for its beauty and history, featuring a palatial 18th‑century building, valuable gardens, orchards, caramanchões, ponds, and other set‑century artworks, and today for its excellent wines. For many years the estate was owned by the Zagalo family, who used it as a holiday home; unfortunately, in 1974, following the 25 April Revolution, the house and estate were invaded and left abandoned. In 1979 the property was purchased by Miguel Louro, who still owns it today and began wine production in the 1980s. (Illustrative image only)
