This Touriga Nacional clearly had a spirited discussion with the vines before its stainless steel slumber. Hand-harvested in 20kg boxes, it speaks of a painstaking approach, and the two-day foot-treading ensures a remarkably developed aromatic profile – it certainly doesn't shy away from complexity. The result is a medium-bodied wine with firm tannins, beautifully softened by extended maceration. A light chill before bottling allows it to shine alongside a grilled fish or a prime cut of beef.
