Vinification: This wine was produced from four plots of the estate: Touriga Nacional (lower block), T. Franca, Roriz, and a block of old vines (over 100 years old) with mixed cultivars. The grapes were harvested in September and brought to the cellar in 25‑kg crates. After a 12‑hour chill in a cold chamber, they were partially pressed and then gravity‑transferred to the fermentation tank. Vinification was carried out in wooden vats and in the punch. After maceration, the wine was moved into French and Austrian oak barrels, where it aged for 18 months. Throughout the process the wine was handled gently, without pumps, relying solely on gravity.
