Made from two emblematic grapes of the Dão region—Encruzado and Malvasia Fina—this Quinta do Sobral Reserva white spent about six months in French oak barrels, enhancing the varietal aromas and revealing a mineral, enveloping profile. The Quinta do Sobral, a family project of Cristina Simões and Jorge Loureiro, sits in the heart of the Dão wine region, in Vila de Santar, a historic heritage site. Here the tradition of planting vines in poor granite soils within pinewoods is preserved, as is the cultivation of the classic varieties that define the estate’s wines, which cover about 15 hectares of vineyards.
