Description

The Quinta do Sobral Vinha da Neta is produced from Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Alfrocheiro and Jaen. The wine fermented in granite vats and aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. Its aroma is harmonious and very mineral, with wild fruit notes and a hint of smoke. On the palate it offers delicate tannins, prominent fruit and a long, elegant finish. The Quinta do Sobral, a family project of Cristina Simões and Jorge Loureiro, sits in the heart of the Dão wine region, in Vila de Santar, a historic heritage site. Here the tradition of planting vines on poor granite soils within pine forests is preserved, as is the cultivation of the classic varieties that define this estate’s wines, which spans about 15 hectares.
