This Reserva clearly took its time – a very promising sign. The winemakers, as always, meticulously selected de-fattened grapes, aiming for maximum expressiveness, and employed stainless steel tanks for careful fermentation. Extended maceration, coupled with barrel aging in French oak, has bestowed upon it a robust structure and, of course, that characteristic touch of spice. A wine that earned 90 points from Robert Parker, boasting vibrant colour, intensely ripe black fruit aromas, and a refreshing acidity – perfect with a hearty roast.
