Born from the estate’s oldest vines – averaging 80 years – this white wine from Quinta Vale D. Maria is a testament to tradition and meticulous winemaking. The inclusion of almost 50% Tinta Barocca delivers a wonderfully vibrant acidity and a remarkably smooth texture. Following fermentation in granite lagares, the wine spent time ageing in new French oak barrels, adding subtle spice notes and a delicate woody character. A truly impressive wine, lauded with 95/100 by Revista de Vinhos and 94/100 by Wine Enthusiast, it’s a reflection of the passion of enologist Rui Viana, with the guidance of Valérie Lavigne. Serve with a confit duck breast or herb-crusted lamb shank to truly unlock its potential.
