Following a 12-month period in used French oak, the result is a remarkably smooth red with tannins so refined you almost feel sorry for its potential, balanced by a vibrant acidity and a lingering finish that suggests it’s got plenty of life left – ideally enjoyed with a robust roast, but one that will continue to surprise long after the plate is cleared.
