The Mirabilis White is a sublime wine made from grapes grown on small, century‑old vineyards in the Douro, where Viosinho and Gouveio predominate. On the palate it is smooth and crisp, with extreme elegance and a perfect balance of freshness, structure and acidity. Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo is a place of extraordinary beauty in the heart of the Douro, and has been owned by the Amorim family since 1999. The family’s connection to wine comes from afar, through their ties to export houses in Vila Nova de Gaia via the cork business, but at this point that link turned into the realization of a dream, and the project now rests in the hands of the fourth generation. With a history of more than 250 years, the estate preserves its original 1764 cellars and features the preserved trace of the estate, after interventions by architect Arnaldo Barbosa.
