This Quinta Nova Vinha Centenária’s P28/21 bottling is a proper test of winemaking skill, as the name suggests – a serious commitment to coaxing out the notoriously stubborn Touriga Nacional. The steep, 210-meter-high vineyard site demands respect, and the resulting wine delivers a remarkably taut, mineral-driven experience, bursting with dark plum and spice. It’s a surprisingly elegant wine for a vine this ancient, and frankly, a revelation when paired with a perfectly grilled ribeye.
