This tawny from Vale D'Aldeia certainly seems to have enjoyed a rather luxurious decade of aging. Hints of sun-ripened figs and honey, alongside a luxuriously smooth texture, suggest a careful nurturing alongside Touriga Nacional and Tinta Barroca. The lingering sweetness and extended finish undoubtedly benefited from a thoughtful pairing – ideal with aged cheeses, or perhaps a generous slice of Iberian ham.
