Ravasqueira Vinho Regional Alentejano The Ravasqueira Vinha das Romãs is the result of a story that began in 2002, when a former pomegranate orchard was replaced by a vineyard. Over the years the vines took root and produced a wine with a highly distinctive structure. Only after a detailed study of the soil did we discover the source of so much personality and texture: the new Vinha das Romãs roots intertwined with the ancient pomegranate roots that remained, enriching the soil. The remnants of those roots made this vineyard unique, thanks to their impact on the terrain’s composition. This single‑vineyard wine stands out with a singular profile, adopting the name of its vineyard and becoming one of the most appreciated and consistent wines of Monte da Ravasqueira. After a lengthy ageing in French oak barrels, the wine showcases the elegance of Syrah and Touriga Franca varieties, grown in small plots within a five‑hectare area of Vinha das Romãs. It fully embodies precision viticulture—a technique that seeks to understand each grape’s particularities, plot by plot, line by line, vine by vine—to determine the best destiny for each grape.
