Linked for several generations to the José de Mello family, Monte da Ravasqueira is located in the municipality of Arraiolos, one hour from Lisbon, occupying a vast expanse of typically Alentejo landscape. Its management and operation are carried out by Sociedade Agrícola D. Diniz, SA. Blessed with excellent geological and climatic conditions for producing the finest wine the Alentejo has to offer, Monte da Ravasqueira has undergone significant investment in vineyard planting, as well as in winemaking equipment and meteorological and phytosanitary facilities. The investments made at Monte da Ravasqueira also include a range of infrastructure to support the development of a wine tourism project. Committed to producing wines of distinctive quality, the estate also engages in a number of other activities related to cork, olive oil, honey, cattle breeding, and the fattening of the Alentejo black pig.
