Real Companhia Velha PORT OF PORT The Port wine is, by definition, a generous, full‑bodied wine with great aromatic richness, produced in the Demarcated Region of the Douro — the oldest demarcated wine region in the world. Made from traditionally used grape varieties in the region, its winemaking process is characterized by the addition of wine brandy to the must during fermentation, interrupting it and preserving part of the natural sugars of the grape. Porto Fundador is one of the historic Port wine brands in Portugal. Launched in the market in 1928, it became a reference for its quality and its profile as a 5‑year‑aged Tawny Port. WINEMAKING AND STAGING The wines destined for the Porto Fundador batches start fermentation in autoclaves, with pellicular contact, and are then interrupted by adding wine brandy. The wines selected for the batch age in oak barrels, a traditional method that preserves the fruity aromas, freshness and characteristic balance of this Tawny Port. SERVING INSTRUCTIONS Store the bottles in a cool place (around 16 °C), dry and protected from light. Serve at 16 °C. Enjoy this young Tawny Port as an aperitif or digestif, perfectly pairing with chocolate desserts, fine pastries, nut‑based desserts or moments of pure tasting.
