This Síbio from Real Companhia Velha is certainly a wine with a strong personality. Scoring 18 points, it’s a concentrated burst of ripe fruit – particularly reminiscent of Sousão and Tinta Francisca – and frankly, a rather audacious expression. The tannins are present, but seem to have taken a little nap, beautifully smoothed out by the wine’s inherent sweetness. Experts suggest it’s a pleasure on the table, especially with beef, and with the potential to only get better with age.
