This Paul Grande Reserva is a real treat – the colour alone hints at the intensity to come. Predominantly Syrah and Touriga Nacional, it bursts with wild berry flavours, underpinned by a lovely coffee and dark chocolate note, adding a welcome layer of complexity. The tannins are beautifully soft, thanks to careful ageing, and the finish is remarkably persistent. Seriously, it’s fantastic with a good steak, and a bottle worth keeping for a truly special moment – or several!
