This Rocca Delle Macie Straccali is a testament to a seriously considered approach – clearly, a lot of care went into it. The fermentation, with a 12-day maceration at temperatures flirting with both warmth and freshness (23-28°C), really lets the Merlot and Sangiovese express themselves fully, delivering a robust body and a lingering finish. It’s a particularly good match for red meats, especially lamb, where its fruit and structure really shine through.
