Rola No Douro, a World Heritage wine, emerges as an excellent wine that blends the region’s tradition with the unique expression of the Touriga Nacional grape. Following the growing worldwide trend of rosé wine consumption, the Douro region has also been asserting itself in this category. Made from a slight maceration of red grapes, Douro rosés stand out with their elegant pink hue and exuberant young aromas of raspberry, cherry, and raisin. On the palate they are smooth and enveloping, balancing sweetness and acidity in a fresh, pleasant expression. They make an excellent companion for a summer aperitif and pair perfectly with fusion and Asian cuisines, notably Japanese (sushi), Indian, and Southeast Asian dishes such as Thai and Vietnamese. They should be enjoyed young, ideally between 1 and 2 years, and served slightly chilled, between 10 and 12 °C. **Origin of the grapes:** Rola Douro Rosé expresses the unique and distinctive character of the Touriga Nacional grape. It is produced from grapes sourced from two vineyards, aged 10 and 30 years. **Vinification and aging:** The grapes are destemmed and bled into the fermentation tank.
